This print features Once Was Known  10, an arresting acrylic-on-canvas original by Palestinian visual artist Monther Jawabreh, created in 2012. Born in the Al‑Arroub refugee camp and now based in Bethlehem, Jawabreh graduated from Al‑Najah National University and is noted for blending critical symbolism with poignant minimalism in his practice.

In Once Was Known 10, a lone masked figure in a black suit stands tall against a bold yellow backdrop. The kuffiyah-covered head evokes cultural memory while formal attire introduces a quiet tension—ordinary meets revolutionary, identity meets corporate structure. This piece comes from the Once Was Known series, where Jawabreh humanizes nationalist iconography and critiques political authority through everyday narratives.

Do I have to pay any tax and duty charges?

As of the 1st January local sales tax will be added at the point of checkout. The amount you pay is inclusive of all applicable duties. You will be responsible for assuring that any products you order comply with state and federal government import regulations.

When will I be charged for my order?

The time at which you'll be charged for your order will depend on the payment method you selected at checkout.

If your card is authorised, payment will be taken immediately and you will receive an email confirming that your order has been successful.
If you've selected one of our Buy Now, Pay Later payment options, you'll be sent an invoice within 24 hours of your order being placed. Your invoice will include details of when payment is due.
If you choose to pay via your iDeal account, you will be charged at the point of sale.

How do I return my order?

You’re not happy with your order, you have 100 days to send us back any items - FREE.

To make a return, just mark the items you are sending back on the return form that came with your parcel, pack what you are returning, and use the enclosed return label to send back your items. Make sure to cover up or remove the original delivery bar code on the box.
